Capital witnessed a grand show of Magnificence, fashion finesse and bridal extravagance as Ace Jewellery Designer Sumit Sawhney of Apala & renowned Designer Varun Bahl came together to present a spectacular fashion show at Ashoka Hotel. Famous Designer Gaurav Gupta also showcased his stunning collection and left everyone mesmerised during the event "Zazba".
Gala event was conceptualized by Mr. Sunil Sethi, FDCI President & hosted by Mr. Sanjay Khanna, District Governor, Rotary International for a cause to support rotary in its initiatives to serve the community.
Apala by Sumit added royal sparkle to Varun's Sartorial Designs and unveiled a fusion between French flamboyance and Mughal Magnificence. Jewellery designer par excellence fused majestic finesse with avante garde as show sparkled evoking the intricacies of the Mughal Era.
Duo exuded élan and style thus incredible amalgamation of fashion & opulence where style met class. Luxurious show brought forth fusion of Regal & vintage look as beautiful models strutted down the ramp clad in fascinating designs, adding sheen to the splendour. Apala’s Jewellery complemented the splendid Mughal era which has been symbol of elegance and power. His finesse was in complete display as he put forward the stratospheric level of designs. The jewellery was resplendent in dazzling silver and added Mughal flamboyance to the vintage attires.
The designs time travelled to the Mughal period, an era which glimmered with intricately carved floral designs and patterns. Sawhney’s work was extremely intricate, especially with its filigree and subsequent interplay with gemstones like ruby, sapphire, and pearls, blues sapphire, taking one back to the charm and magic of the royal era itself.
Overall the bridal look was an amalgamation of West European sensitivity and Mughal finesse. Sumit’s jewellery was evocative of the meticulous designs of an era which revelled in ornate adornments. Spellbinding colours of the jewellery were complemented and enhanced by the charm of brides. The motif and cuts were reminiscent of majestic splendour with exceptional artistry that added to the requisite glamour and lineage to Varun’s line.
Sumit Stated, “The fusion of Mughal flamboyance with the French floral theme displayed the best of both worlds. It was a pleasure to venture out in the aesthetic balance and fusion of the two strong contradicting yet complementing styles.
