Wether you’re the devil on the right shoulder, the angel on the left or the mere confused mortal in the middle, Lipstick Queen founder Poppy King has a shade for every mood, every season and every personality trait. With lipstick lines with extreme themes like sinners and saints she’s come up with a in the middle solution to the sheery beaty of saints and opaque brutality of sinners a line that mixes the two worlds perfectly.
Making its big debut in May, the new lipstick line is more than just a buch of shade and texture variations, its Poppy King’s storytale version of tthree girls (Soho, Central Park, and Upper East), a trio of shades packaged in a book-inspired box. This will be part of Part of Liptropolis, King’s novel Lipstick Library series inspired by Manhattan neighborhoods. King, a typical New York City girl claims“she knows whether a subway is going uptown or downtown based on her fellow passengers’ lips.”
Each Liptropolis hue is meant to represent their respective locales, with Soho being a maroon-red, Central Park a muted tangerine, and Upper East a sophisticated nude. Which one do you think will you be?
