PREP WALK

Shweta Ganesh| Posted On: 17-July-2012

Shweta Dolli: Fitness forms the primary aspect for a model and when shows are around, we run to look our best. Apart from running I’m also learning Belly Dancing to work my abdominal area. I believe in eating 5 small meals per day and keep myself away from unhealthy food by sticking to home-made food. I also drink a lot of water and fresh fruit juices to enhance my skin. Since I keep doing a lot of Institute graduation shows and also shooting for magazines like Elle and Marie Claire I’ve been in good touch with the ramp. I like to keep myself prepared usually and when it involves a name like Lakme, my enthusiasm and preparation doubles up.

Parul Duggal: I kick start my day with wholesome breakfast including 5 egg-whites, oats and milk. I’m not a fan of gymming so I stick to running, floor exercises and jogging for maintaining fitness. Fortunately, I’m blessed with good genes so I don’t work out that hard and just focus on toning up. I’m also taking care of my skin with simple things like drinking water, cleansing and moisturizing my face. Honestly, diet and exercise do wonders to the skin. I’m very keen to walk the ramp, experience the fittings and back-stage drama. I was a designer at LFW a couple of years ago and this platform got me hooked to fashion.

Jyotpriya Sood: Being a model gearing up for Lakme, I’m focusing on being my fittest ever. I love to work out at the gym and spend close to 2 hours every day along with my personal trainer. I kick out my laziness and gym 7 days a week as the fashion week is coming close. My food is simple, plain and balanced. I don’t deprive myself of anything and eat everything in moderation since I’m working out rigorously. I have dry skin so I use gels, night creams and fruit packs to hydrate my skin apart from drinking water. Lakme as a platform is the best ground for a model or designer and everyone looks to make the most of this given opportunity. It’s just been a year for me as a model and I’m very proud to have come this far.

Natasha Ramachandran: Ever since I landed up in Mumbai, I’ve been house hunting and running around town for the same. That’s what my work out consists of. The city gives me a natural sauna while the running makes me burn my calories. Since I haven’t had the time to work out, I make sure I eat wholesome and healthy food at all times. In a humid city like Mumbai, it’s important to keep the skin well hydrated and nourished. I indulge in salads, fruits and coconut water apart from drinking water all through the day. The key to stay fit is avoiding junk food and keep a good temperament. I believe that’s enough to deal with LFW. This is a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent and I hoping for the best.

With endless hours of working out, eating healthy and staying fit, our models are surely giving it their best. We’re sure to expect a fit and power packed runway!
