There’s something truly exciting about the gen-next designers, we think. Perhaps that passion, sense of undying creativity or that hint of sparkle in their eyes is something that draws us to stories of their big dreams.
The students of Pearl Academy, the institution that has branches in Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai and now one in Noida, are busy gearing up for their graduation show, Portfolio 2013. An annual graduating event of the academy, it will showcase their students’ work on 17th and 18th May at Pragati Maidaan, Delhi in exhibitions and ramp shows.
Engaging catalogues, art pieces and captivating design items assembled by each student from all the graduating batches across Fashion Design (FD), Textile Design (TD), Communication Design (CD), Business, Retail & Technology (BRT) and Interior Architecture & Design (IAD) Departments will be on display for aspiring artists, professionals, school and college students, industry representatives and guests. A culmination of several years of hard work, Portfolio marks the entry of visionary professionals into the world of fashion, design and business.
The entire event would house inspiring works of students from various design courses and a gala fashion night that would see models sashaying in trendy apparel designed by the fashion department students of the institute. Students from the final year of BA (Hons.) Fashion Design course, will present their final submissions which were deliberated by an eminent jury consisting of eminent fashion designers like Vineet Bahl, Ranna Gill, Ms. Alecca Carrano and Rohan Chhabra.
Is that all? Apart from the buzzing creativity and talent displayed by the students, there’s more in it for all of you aspiring fashion design enthusiasts. School and college students from across will be allowed free entry on showing their Identity Cards at Registration Desks at the venue. Additionally, Pearl Academy’s counselors would be available for career guidance and courses information at the event.
