What is your holiday style – sun ‘n’ sand, mountainside getaway or shopping fiesta?
I’m a sun lover. And I love the beach. Therefore, sun ‘n’ sand wins hands down.
Where was your last vacation at?
I was in London for my last vacation. I absolutely love that city.
What are the cool places to shop there?
The fashion boutiques at Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill, Marylebone High Street, Portobello market…there are so many. Besides, London is a book lover’s haven. I can spend hours at the book shops.
London means a lot of walking and shops close down pretty early. What are the good places to eat when you’re taking time off shopping?
I absolutely love this café bar named Cocomomo at Marylebone high street. It has a lovely pavement terrace just perfect to watch the world go by while you sip on your coffee and eat some good food. Another favourite of mine is the Ottolenghi in Notting Hill. They have the most delicious fresh pastries and the food is sort of Mediterranean. If you’re a chocolate lover then hop across to Melt, again in Notting Hill, they have like a thousand different types of chocolates, each one better than the last. I believe they offer chocolate making courses too.
Your best buy from this vacation?
A gorgeous pair of heels from Sergio Rossi.
Where do you want your next vacation to be?
I have always wanted to go to Istanbul. I’d love to go there sometime soon.
Which is your favourite travel destination in India?
GOA! I’m sure there’s no prize for picking this one (laughs). Goa is just a beautiful place and experience each time around. I try and go there whenever I can.
What places do you love the most in Goa?
Umm…I love Morjim beach... its one of the beaches that still has its charm intact. I love the food at Fiesta, it’s a beautiful fine dining restaurant at Calangute-Baga. And as far as shopping is concerned, what can I say, I like to shop all over Goa, especially the flea markets for its energy. Also, you can unearth some impressive stuff at some of the Portuguese homes selling antique furniture and artifacts.
What is your personal style like?
Well it varies. It could be Bohemian one day and elegant the next. Simply depends on my mood.
Slightly off topic but what handbag are you carrying at the moment?
This is a Goyard. My current favourite from my collection of bags.
