Last week we gave you Bollywood’s most sensationally dressed ladies who stylishly upped the fashion meter with their luxurious outfit choices. With this week just witnessing the grand finale of Wills India Fashion Week, Big B’s 70TH birthday bash, film promotions, movie screenings and lots of new launches we took upon the role of fashion police. Well, this week our ladies got their outfits right. Yes, that’s true! No more ‘sheer’ full wonders, midriff exposes, bleeding glossy lips, sweat patches or ‘tiered’ backs. We at Sk are pressing charges on victims who are failing to experiment, simply playing it safe and being plainly boring. Check out this week’s almost sinking outfits paired with the most vanilla hair. Here’s how we’ve rated their mundane looks!
1. Auntyji- Actress Vidya Balan is undoubtedly the woman who dresses double her age. In a world where everyone is vying to look younger and putting themselves through rigorous procedures to look thinner, healthier and still in their teens, she effortlessly looks 40! We like that she chooses to wear the saree and usually opts for blacks, beige or reds with ¾ sleeves. But the saree isn’t well draped, the red colour of her lips clashes with the colour of the outfit. Her hair which is done-up in waves is let loose adding to her bulky frame. The only saving grace is her black and beige potli bag!

2. Been There, Done That- For someone whose style, sense of classy fashion is always written about Gauri Khan opted to repeat an outfit from a brand’s commercial that she and her star husband SRK endorse together. Gauri stepped out wearing an animal print Michael Kors gown from the Pre Fall 2010 collection for Big B’s birthday celebration. Though we like the gown we can’t say the same about her hair which seems all over the place. We would have loved to see her hair tied up showing off a pair of chunky studs and some hot pink matt lips over dull beige. After all, it’s a party that you’re going to and you’ve got the best accessory in town- SRK! Being a star wife, a fashion icon we expected a lot more out of Gauri and we’re plainly disappointed!

3. Colour me Pink- We love her for her acting, dancing and Rani Mukherjee is truly one box of talent! Though she’s been promoting her latest film ‘Aiyaa’ dressed in traditional salwaar kameez and bindi, this ill-fitted outfit is too tacky for her beautiful actress. For someone with a small and svelte frame, Rani should opt for fitted salwar suits. We love her make-up which is rosy and subtle enough to highlight her features. The dupatta looks like it’s just thrown over her and takes away from her charming face. We would have loved to see her in the outfit had it been more flattering to her figure and if the dupatta was just put on one side. We love her hair but even that could have had a side braid with a few flicks to compliment her traditional attire.

4. Covergirl- Having graced the cover of magazines, being mentored by KJO, Aalia Bhatt is already quite a star and she’s just 19! However, for someone who’s so young we’d expect her style to be the same. We’d like some quirky prints, fun elements and eclectic fashion pairings put together. Seen at the launch of Filmfare, another magazine cover that she bagged with her co-stars Aalia wore a black mini tube dress with some blue at the hem. She paired it with two-tone pink heels and slightly puffed-up hair. Though the dress isn’t tacky and the heels as well but put together, it didn’t impress us much! She always plays it safe (read as: boring) at every do. The girl needs some colour and less of blacks. KJO are you listening?
