THOMAS PINK, the British based luxury shirt maker which is part of the LVMH group and has flagship stores in London’s Jermyn Street, Madison Avenue, New York and Rue Francois Premier, Paris opened its first store in India at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Constructed from the finest-quality two-fold cotton, immaculately cut and finished, Pink shirts are crisp, comfortable and look the part anywhere from the boardroom to the ballroom.
The Men’s formal shirts come in the generously fitting Classic, the streamlined Slim Fit, and the body skimming Super Slim Fit. More relaxed styling is found in the Casual and Informal collections and in a collection of mouthwatering Polo shirts. Pink shirts are available in twills and tattersall’s, royal Oxford and Winchester, poplin and Sea Island Cottons. Prices range from Rs. 5500 to Rs. 25000.
The Thomas Pink New Delhi store reflects the quirky, bold and sophisticated interior to convey the brand’s stamp of Britishness. A rich panelling motif in three finishes envelops the entire space with each finish distinguishing a different product category. Limed walnut surrounds the classic men’s shirting pigeon holes, black stained ash is used around the broad collection of men’s white shirts and crisp white painted panelling is a background for the more contemporary men’s and women’s product. Unifying the space is a bespoke herringbone floor of polished black granite accented with a narrow band of tile in signature Thomas Pink colour.
On the launch, Thomas Pink customers walked the Pink Carpet and were welcomed with Pink cupcakes. The mall's fountains turned pink. A video wall was setup to showcase Thomas Pink’s “British Entertainment” - a limited edition art book that literally celebrates the essence of “British Entertainment” through the lens of the award-winning documentary photographer Jocelyn Bain Hogg.
